I met Mike in 2004 when he interviewed me for a job at Lincoln. He immediately put me at ease, and was reassuring in what might have been an intimidating situation. We worked together until his retirement, and I am so grateful for his encouragement and support. Mike had an artist’s vision, and could see the value of teaching and fostering experimental approaches to media. I enjoyed our times discussing Modernism and art, and appreciated his kind and inquisitive attitude. I’m so glad to have had him as a colleague.
